Sara Montez

Hi! I’m Sara, a junior majoring in Asian Languages and cultures on the East Asian track and political science! I’ve been studying Korean for the past few years and started learning Chinese this semester. Last year I was a part of The student org “Liberty in North Korea,” and am hoping to join more activism and human rights based student orgs in the future. I got into Asian studies because it’s a field I never learned about before coming to UW Madison, and found the history, cultures, and music of East Asia really interesting!
