Research Interests:
Dr. Jeong’s research interest lies in exploring interactional functions of Korean grammatical elements in conversation. Moreover, he is interested in analyzing the intonational features associated with their pragmatic usages. His research has sought to lay the groundwork for a usage-based and a more nuanced description of grammar for the purpose of introducing them in a concrete and accurate way for language learners.
