Anatoly Detwyler received a major grant to host a Summer Institute in late May

Summer Institutes are co-supported by the Chiang Ching-Kuo Foundation (CCKF) and the Consortium of Humanities Centers and Institutes. This topic of this Summer Institute will be: Chinese Literature and the Global South: Writing, Translating, and Reading. It will feature several of the most prominent Chinese writers, critics, and artists in the world: Bei Dao, Zhai Yongming, Han Shaogong, and Li Tuo. They will be in conversation with Indian counterparts: Allan Sealy, Sharmistha Mohanty, Kabir Mohanty, and Ashish Nandy. Participants will further include a range of scholars and translators from North America. The program will include readings, an exhibition, and scholarly exchange. Congratulations!
