Tianjin–just a 30 minute bullet train ride from Beijing–is one of the biggest ports in northern China and is well-known for its seafood, restaurants, and shopping. The city is a center of folk arts and performance, serving as a center for Beijing opera and gongfu martial arts. Low cost living and convenient transportation make Tianjin an excellent base for exploring China's capital city or other parts of the country.
