Pichet Prakaianurat has been a lecturer in the Department of Foreign Languages at Kasetsart University (Bangken campus) in Thailand for several years, where he teaches courses such as Foundations of English Linguistics, English for Intercultural Communication, and Essential English Writing Skills.
His research focuses on language attitudes and identities within English as a Lingua Franca (ELF) interactions. He explores how L2 learners construct identities in multilingual settings and how language ideologies influence their ways of talking across different social contexts.
Currently, Pichet is serving as a Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he teaches Thai language and acts as a cultural ambassador for Thai culture. In this role, he aims to foster cross-cultural understanding and enhance the appreciation of Thai language, traditions, and culture among students, faculty, and the entire university community.
