After receiving a degree in Japanese from the University of Mount Union, I worked in Shibukawa City, Gunma Japan at the city’s board of education going to schools and teaching English. While working as an English teacher I completed a Japanese teaching certificate. My research interests include second language acquisition and ways to evaluate students’ proficiency.
