2017 US Midwest Chinese Bridge Speech Contest and the Forum on Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages

In order to further promote Chinese language and culture education in the Midwest and to strengthen exchanges between Chinese programs at the college level in this region, Chinese Language Program of the University of Wisconsin-Madison will hold the 2017 US Midwest Chinese Bridge Speech Contest at 1:30PM on Saturday, April 15, 2017, with financial support from Hanban Headquarter Office, the Consulate-General of China in Chicago, and University of Wisconsin-Madison.

The Forum on Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages, to be held on the morning of April 15 (8AM-12PM), will feature four keynote speakers: Professors Lening Liu 刘乐宁 (Columbia University), Chaofen Sun 孙朝奋 (Stanford University), Xiaohong Wen 温晓虹 (University of Houston), and Yang Zhao 赵扬 (Peking University). They will share with us their thoughts and experiences about Chinese language education.
