Ika has been teaching Indonesian language and culture since coming to Madison to attend the MA program in Southeast Asian Studies in 2011. She currently teaches beginning and intermediate Indonesian. She received her B. A. in English Education from Satya Wacana Christian University. After graduation, she worked as an Indonesian instructor in the Language Training Center (LTC) of her alma mater. She has been involved in the Consortium for the Teaching of Indonesian (COTI) and the Program Intensif Bahasa dan Budaya Indonesia (PIBBI). In addition, she taught Indonesian at the Department of Asian Languages and Cultures, University of Michigan as Fulbright Teaching Assistant.
